EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER

• Be responsible for the embedded software designing of control board, front panel board, and other related MCU or DSP based boards for welding machine. (Mandatory) 
• Be responsible for documenting all the software related documents such as flow chart, designing testing instructions.
• Be responsible for the designing of board-level circuits including analog and digital circuits. (At the beginning, this is not mandatory requirement, but after a period of working time, this position should take responsibilities for this task.
• Be responsible the set-up of the company standards of writing codes of C, C++ and other languages.
• Be responsible for the designing of hardware description languages (VHDL or Verilog) based software. (Not mandatory)
• Be the owner of at least one of the most popular MCUs or DSPs, which means that should be an expert in a specific brand model in future.

1. Skills:

• Foreign language skills: Proficiency in English is an advantage.
• A Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science with 2+ years of experience in Product Design and Development is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in embedded software architectures and embedded C programming for 8, 16 or 32 bit processors with the ability to specify, architect, design/code, test and verify embedded code is required.
• Must possess a good understanding of and have experience with embedded control systems (PID control loops, motor control, digital filters, state machines, low level peripheral drivers, serial communication protocols, etc.).
• Candidate must be a team player with a positive attitude, high motivation and excellent interpersonal skills who is able to work well in a team environment with minimal supervision.

2. Knowledge:

• Understanding of electronic circuit design for digital applications, analog applications and power electronics is a plus.
• Experience with CPLD or FPGA will be a strong plus.
• Experience with hardware description languages (VHDL or Verilog) and PC programming is also a plus.
• Proficiency with a software version control system and source code documenting with the ability to simulate embedded code in a PC environment is preferred.
• Possess basic knowledge of welding processes and applications and associated equipment requirements.
